GAMBICA has published updates to two technical guides: Motor Shaft Voltages and Bearing Currents under PWM Inverter Operation (3rd edition) and Motor Insulation Voltage Stresses Under PWM Inverter Operation (4th Edition).

These guides have been produced by GAMBICA’s Variable Speed Drive Technical Committee in collaboration with BEAMA, the trade association which represents rotating equipment manufacturers .

Their purpose is to provide guidance on best practice on the application of motors on PWM inverter supplies with respect to shaft voltages and voltage stresses. The new editions of these guides brings them up to date with the latest references to standards and regulations.
