GAMBICA, through its participation in ESCO, has been successful in building the Industry 4.0 demonstrator facility into the UK government's strategic plan for strengthening the UK manufacturing supply chain.

In a new report by HM Government entitled "Strengthening UK manufacturing supply chains", the goal of an Industry 4.0 demonstrator is included in the action plan items

"BIS, ESCO and MTC will explore how to leverage EU Horizon 2020 programmes to deliver a UK demonstrator facility to engage UK business in the opportunities for exploitation of the technology and in development of products and software systems for sale into this new European market."
